It went over how to come up with a thesis, supporting details, and how to structure the paragraphs themselves. The book listed what makes a good idea, how to outline and organize them, and the best way to express them with details that actaully support it. It went over style and revision as well as the best use of parts of a sentence to ensure clear, concise writing. It gave the difference between informative and persuasive writing. Also, the book had an insightful collection of student essays and examples as well as providing the basics for English grammar, punctuation and usage. I actaully enjoyed this book. I wish we could have had more time to get further into it and am still considering whether I will be selling it or not, as I feel it could be useful in the future for my blogging and perhaps future career endeavors. I think my writing has gotten stronger after this quarter and it helped inspire me to start blogging while I look for a job in my field, now that my program is over.
