If you are a pet owner, you probably love your animal as if it was one of your children or maybe a sibling, but did you know that there are more animals abused in the world than loved? A quarter of a million animals fall victims of animal hoarding, which is a kind of animal abuse. That means 250,000 animals are placed in one category of abuse, imagine how many animals are abused in dog fighting, puppy mills and animal hoarding combined. In this chapter you will learn about different dog abuse, Cat abuse and how to stop all animal abuse.
Dog Abuse
Dogs get abused more than any animal in the world. Dog fighting is the most “heinous” forms of animal cruelty. According to the website www.aspca.org/animal-cruelty “ Although dog fighting is a felony in all 50 states, it continues to occur in every part of the country and in every type of community.” Dog fighting is taking place in a “ 14-20 square foot pit design to contain the animals”. Dog fighting is something to be stopped the poor dogs don’t deserve to get abused like how some of them are. From the article, How to spot the signs of cat abuse, they said “ It’s like torturing a little kid.” when people abuse cats they do it for power and to feel good about themselves. If they are mad at something they take it out on the cat. Everything needs basic needs and so do animals, if abuse your cat they don’t get their basic needs. People starve their cats a sign to see if your cat isn’t getting their basic needs is, if you rub your cats back and you can feel their bones then you need to feed your cat. Maybe you can feel your cats bones but you didn’t know you were abusing, that just means you need to feed them more. Cats don’t get abused that much all around the world but that doesn't mean that we can’t help them to, all cats deserve a second
