People around the United States connect football with very bad medical outcomes. Everyday modern technology is changing and opening up more opportunities to critique different sports. This change is part of the reason why there is more concern of what really happens on the gridiron. According to the self-reported surveys, 60 percent of the players had suffered at least one concussion and 26 percent reported suffering at least three concussions.”(Deshpande et al.) In many leagues and teams, players often do not recognize the importance of heir health .Head injuries are not a joke and in many leagues and teams they are not treated as serious as they should. If 60 percent of the players suffer these injuries that makes its a frequent thing that additionally causing them to feel like a “normal” occurrence which also takes away from how people should respond. When I was concussed during a football game I could not hear for 5 minutes prior but I continued to play the game and even started in junior varsity the next day. All of this is because players have a fear of leaving the game. The coaches rely on them to play which puts pressure on the players who are very passionate about the sport.
