I never try to fix my problem because there were never any consequences to it. I would pass all my classes with decent grades with no problems despite ignoring a lot of the work, but then I was called by my English teacher to stay after class.…

Middle School Mid-Life Crisis Middle school, a time of cringe worthy moments and regret. I like to refer to this story as my “Middle School Mid-Life Crisis”, since I questioned the purpose of going to school almost every day, and never felt motivated to do anything. Dreading almost every day of school, not having stable mental, emotional, or physical health, and feeling dissatisfied with myself as a student. My mind set was always on countdown mode, “I just have to make it through this class period. I only have 20 more problems to do.”…

I judge that we can all agree that homework is fairly boring and is not interesting. Students do not want to learn or work on something that doesn’t interest them. Also, they may not understand the concept of the topic, so they find it difficult and confusing. Some students lack time management and may have their priorities mixed up. Both of these flaws can interfere with the organization to do homework.…

My mother passed when I was five years old she not only left me behind but also left my older brother Brian who was seven at the time and my younger sister Kimberly who was only a six-month-old baby. This had a great impact in my life because my father was left to raise us on his own until he remarried and had help from his wife before he remarried it was very difficult going back and forth from my father's care to my mothers family care when he went to work since there were many other children around but I always ended up isolated since the only people I would ever talk to were my mother and father. My brother would get bullied in school and taunted by other children for not having a mother and "being a girl” for crying about it at school he once was hanged on the school fence by older students for this reason. I was always afraid of this situation happening to me so I would suppress the fact of my mother's death due to my fear and never really dealt with it until I grew older although I still haven’t overcome her dead because she was the women who created me and a great part of my life I no longer carry hurt or hate in my heart but instead pray for her soul and thank her for watching over me all these years.…

It can consolidate the knowledge that students have already studied, train students' creativity, and develop students' intelligence. Moreover, it is very essential to require some homework in the teaching process. Butler (1987) states, “Homework is the time students spend outside the classroom in assigned activities to practice, reinforce or apply newly-acquired skills and knowledge and to learn necessary skills of independent study” (p.17). Most homework assigned by teachers is for practice and preparation purposes because instructional homework may be assigned to help students. Parents often have questions about why homework is assigned, how beneficial it is, and how they may best help their child complete homework.…

Homework has been linked to achieving better results and better grades, so why are some schools banning it? Studies have shown the positive and negative effects of homework, and with a moderate amount, the positive effects outweigh the negative ones.
