Sometimes, in sports or in life in general, there are favorites and underdogs. There is a general consensus that the favorite team or player will win but sometimes it`s the underdog that wins and receives all the honor related with that win. This is very similar to what I read about Seabiscuit and what I watched in the video of Jason McElwain. Some people have the ability to transcend their underdog status (ie. Red from Seabiscuit and Jason) and create something very special.…

Donald J. Trump Sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war- Donald J. Trump. He means that losing isn’t always the end. Donald Trump is an important and influential figure in history that had either a negative or positive impact on the world, depending on your viewpoint. I believe he has a negative impact on the world, but many people would argue that. For example, I see the Muslim Ban as racist and unnecessary, but others believe that it’s keeping America safe.…

People choose to be happy by deciding to succeed and follow their dreams despite a large (or slight) affliction in their life. With a job to make people happy, deciding to look for the positive aspects in life can be a great idea. Walt Disney had his fair share of problems before becoming the world-renowned cartoon creator. There was a time when Disney was homeless because his cartoon factory (Laugh-o-Grams) wasn’t making enough for him to pay the rent of his apartment. During this rough time, his employees started to resign, and Disney’s only true friend was a rat.…

He has his own University, a tower built in his name, and on top of all this he is running for president. Of course I am talking about the republican front-runner and billionaire Donald Trump. He claims that he will “make America great again” as Ronald Reagan once said in his presidential campaign. There are some who praise his words and others who think that he is the equivalent of a modern day Hitler because of his soon to be told insults and remarks that have been made. Mr. Trump is not fit for the presidential role because he lacks respect, he is immature, and he is prejudice beyond belief.…

Argumentative Analysis Introduction Over the years, it has become normal to hear about various celebrities and their many scandals. It is no surprise to hear about the latest star getting involved with drugs or becoming alcohol dependent. This type of reckless behavior has become increasingly prevalent in child celebrities such as those featured on Disney Channel. This behavior, although not completely the fault of Walt Disney Studios, can be widely attributed to the loss of childhood and innocence of these young actors and actresses.…

According to the United States definition of the copyright law, the law protects "original works of authorship" (U.S. 1). This basic definition of what can and cannot be protected under the law is too broad and has become twisted to the benefit of big corporations. Brett Gaylor, the writer and director of the film Rip!: A Remix Manifesto, talks about the unfair level that copyrights have been taken to. Copyright laws have been skewed to the advantage of large corporations and no longer provide the public a service, rather they actually work to hinder an artist’s ability to use inspiration from another’s work to create something new.…

Sometimes making a hard choice can be harsh but, if it means the person you love will be safe at the end it’s worth it. John Steinbeck’s ‘Of Mice and Men’ is about two men,George and lennie, traveling together trying to fulfill their dream of owning their own ranch someday but they come upon one of them committing a murder. George kills Lennie and I firmly believe that it was the right thing to do because he was protecting others, keeping him from suffering and, he was protecting Lennie from himself.…
