Intro- As graduating high school, I always had the desire to up my career to be a successful and financial man within the future. A week later, I started to think how am I going to live on my own. Where will I stay at for my existing 4 years or maybe years. So I did my research on the Kansas State University housing. As I am looking through my options, I was interested for the Kramer complex’s. My mom told me is it safe, healthy, and in good living conditions to live there? When I kept scrolling down it showed how it will have safety and good health conditions throughout the complex. By paying at least 5000$ for housing you tend to expect high healthy environments for us to live there at Goodnow Hall for 4 or more years. But from my experience it hasn’t been up to my expectations and desires as I saw on their website. For example, Videos of tours for the building, why Goodnow is the best place to live. The answer is that this building is almost about to be 57 years old. Of course the building is going to have serious health and safety problems. A couple of problems that Goodnow Hall has is. First, in the building it has random spots of leakage and black mold expulsion around the building behind those think white halls(Expand)Second, it contains so much stain age on the carpets and ceilings, even the bathrooms(Expand). Third, the bathrooms are the worst of them all. These bathrooms are so dirty, the toilets are mostly yellow and the smell is so mad you wouldn’t even want to take a shower. The showers get clogged with so much hair it overflows and touches your feet, even with shower shoes(Expand). Lastly, exposure of the pipes. The big white pipes showing in each room at Goodnow is not a good idea. Someday or somehow it busted it open and all the water or gas got into the room? By having these inspections, K-State can be looked at more often than before. It can be reported if notified by the inspector. Second, have fundraisers to raise money to support the building so It can be fixed. Another idea is to innovate investments are, donations, volunteer work, grants, funding programs within Goodnow hall to support the building. Lastly, yearly surveys on how the residence over experience and issues they occurred during while living at Goodnow Hall, to see how we can fix that for next years’ residence. Overall, these solutions will not only benefit the students attending Goodnow Hall, but the university as a whole. (Expand more on each solution and have an outside
