There could actually be planets that are doubles of our own. Meaning, that there could be mirrors of our very own solar system the earth, and even us! In these worlds all possible decisions would be played out. For example on one planet you might have decided not to go to the mall yesterday or a fast food chain you like might not even exist. NOw I know what you’re thinking there’s no way that this could possibly happen right? Well, the universe is vastly large, possibly even infinite and it is constantly expanding. Planets are abundant throughout not only our galaxy but the universe, this means tht the likelihood that we are alone is mathematically impossible. Infact it’s nearly impossible for there not to be world's exactly like our own scattered across the universe.
The hunt for exoplanets is an exciting one, and it is only just beginning. Every week we learn of newly confirmed planets orbiting distant stars, and we are constantly surprised by what we find in the universe. Who knows one day we might actually find a planet able to sustain life as we know it, but for now all we know is that the universe is full of the unknown and we still have many things left to discover but I’m confident that one day we will find a planet just like our
