The act of survival acknowledges that the ability to withstand and overcome the many problems that come your way, but suddenly conflict found its way into the world you onced lived in, and starts to tear apart everything you know and love. If you remain here you will die, but if you take action and leave you will suffer. These are the choices the people in Syria had to face. In the same manner, Syrian refugees are forced out of their homes to avoid the threat of chemical attacks authorized by the dictator of Syria. Although the U.S. is focusing most of their attention on eradicating Syria’s chemical weapons, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t help those who suffered from these attacks. Although chemical weapons are banned in the world and still being used doesn’t mean that the civilian population is not a priority. In fact, there are just too many refugees to take care of on their own. According to the records of a Syrian refugee camp: “There are 13.5 million people that need medical assistance due to civil war in Syria.” To add on, the population is big enough to be considered a …show more content…
The U.S. imports many beneficial and useful items from Syria. From food, to minerals, oil and animals, Syria ranks the 148th highest exporter in the world. The country is known to produce oil which the U.S. imports from there, to support, “... 2011 U.S. imports 3,000 barrels of oil a day from Syria.” With the U.S. depending on fossil fuels it’s crucial in maintaining itself. Along with exports and imports, not only is oil is being imported from Syria to the states, but “many vegetables, spices, cotton, and household goods.” To analyze, by just looking at how the economy works illustrate on how everyone depends on each other. When that chain becomes broken, it creates massive problems to everything. Even though this is not even close to a whole, having those little things in life have a long lasting
