Remaining abstinence has many benefits. Abstinence is refraining from having sex. Abstinence is the most responsible choice for teens. The 5 reasons to remain are abstinence is because teens are not ready for sex, teens are not allowed to have sex because of moral or religious beliefs, teens want to focus on their education or career, they do not want sexually transmitted diseases, and they do not want to be pregnant or be a parent. Also, if you are pressured into have sex you should be able to say no. 3 ways to deal with pressure is to say a simple no, give an excuse, or change the subject. The first reason to stay abstinence is because the teen is not ready for sex. Many students at the age of 13-24 are the ones that are mostly pressured in to sex. Many of these students are not ready for it. Students might want to save it for the special person they actually love and they are sure of it. When a relationship becomes sexual one the emotional connection goes through the roof. …show more content…
Some transmitted diseases are HIV, AIDS, Syphilis, and Genital herpes. Having a sexually transmitted disease could ruin your life. Having certain diseases could cause death or sicknesses. Some cancers could arise because of the transmitted diseases. Staying abstinence is the best way to avoid having any kind of transmitted disease.
The last reason and most important reason to stay abstinence is to not become pregnant. Many students that become pregnant cannot afford it and do not have the time to take care of a baby. Many time when the father of the child realizes he has a baby he leaves the mother by herself to take care of the baby. With school and jobs there is just not enough time to watch over the baby at all times. Also, the amount of money needed for diapers and baby food most of the time exceeds the amount of money the mother has. So, staying abstinence is the best way to not become
