The Multiverse Theory is one of the most talked about theories in the modern age. It entails how there is a chance that we are not the only universe in existence but rather there are tens of thousands of other universes. This leaves all kinds of possibilities to the imagination; maybe someone was born with red hair rather than blonde, maybe someone became president rather than a physics professor. There are an infinite number of possibilities which causes the Multiverse Theory to also be a heavily controversial topic. However, it is also just a theory and there is no definitive proof quite yet. That being said, there are hundreds of ideas that could possibly prove the theory. The Multiverse Theory was first created in 1952 by a man named Erwin Schrodinger, the same physics theorist …show more content…
The alternative is civilizations do not last very long, but destroy themselves.” (4) Hawking is explaining that there could be other life out in space but we would have no way of contacting one another, or that the civilizations destroy themselves before we are able to figure out whether or not they exist. This could prove the Multiverse Theory because the civilizations described by Stephen Hawking are existing right along with us which was also described in Schrodinger’s ideas on the subject. Hawking also talks about the possibility on an article about the multiple universos, describing how the Hubble telescope found that all known galaxies are slowly drifting away from ours, expanding the universe as they move apart. Hawking states that this could in fact mean thee was a period of time where the universe was closer together, thus starting our universe. If there is a beginning to a single universe, there could inevitably mean a start to other

This week, Mount Everest claimed the life of 3 climbers and 1 Sherpa, still two other climbers are missing — is the risk of death really worth the adventure? Article: Why would someone risk their life to climb a mountain when the odds of surviving may not be in their favor? For survivors, Everest is the ultimate high, but with triumph also come tragedies. Ignoring Craig’s second sentence, I have crudely taken his argument arranged it in the form of a syllogism to better analyze the structure of his argument. It goes as follows: Major: Something that begins to exist has a cause. Minor: Our universe is something that began to exist.…

In essence, how could the universe (something) suddenly appear out of nothing? His argument claims that it is not possible, as God, an omnipotent being who, without the universe, remains timeless and unchanging, existed as the original cause of the universe. As an agnostic, I hesitate to say with any certainty whether there is an all-powerful creator who set the events of the universe in motion,…

If they came from something else, then that something else must itself have come from nothing, always existed or come from still something else . Ultimately, either something has always existed or at some point something came in to being nothing. The cosmological argument, in it’s simplest terms, can be broken up into a few understood points that make it what some to believe the answer to God’s existence. The same form of argument that the cosmological argument possesses can actually be applied to discrediting the existence of God. The origin of time and the relationship between an infinite set of causes and effects and if it has a creator both work together in forming good points against the credibility of the cosmological argument made for the existence of God. There are two main assertions made by the argument in favor of God’s existence. The first, when laid out in simpler terms, is as follows; everything that exists must have a first cause so that means that if the universe began to exist, it must have a first cause.…

As of the 21st century, it is no longer controversial to believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life. While in the 16th century, a belief that life existed beyond Earth and its atmosphere may have led to a public execution (like it did for astronomer, Giordano Bruno), the same belief is held by 54% of Americans today. Given the evidence gathered through advanced space exploration and technology, the scientific community, as well as the general population, is more inclined to believe in extraterrestrial life. However, something that is more debatable, is the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life.…
