Technology is one of the important necessities that people use in today’s age. From household chores to means of transportation, technology never stops developing and improving to help our day to day lives. It is not surprising to know that schools are also using technology as an essential part of learning. However, the difficulties of the non-stop demands of life in today’s age makes it harder for someone to go to school in person. Hence, online schooling was invented to make life easier. Although it has its ups and downs the flexibility of taking classes online accommodates everybody, becoming more efficient and self-sufficient in terms of learning and giving people a chance to go to school despite their busy schedules. This freedom so to say, gives the student added responsibility to study the material at hand, retain the necessary information from it and ultimately complete the assignments without being told when and exactly how to do so. Some may find understanding and learning comes easier when it is done their way and on their terms, while others may find themselves at a mental standstill without a teacher in front of them to lend advice. Besides the ability to actually learn and excel from online courses, one must also know how to manage their time responsibly enough to complete and turn in their work within the given deadline. This new found independence gives the student the opportunity to learn the skills of time management and how to be more responsible and self-sufficient in all of their endeavors in the future. The traditional class room setting spoon feeds the students to what and how to do the work, unlike taking an online class. Students are reading more and using their initiative to learn. Traditional classes, it offers a sense of community, a one on one relationship between student and teacher and having the vital equipment in learning around the school. With online classes, the accessibility of learning in your own time, having the independence in learning and using initiative. Arguing whether which one is better is very challenging. One has its advantages and disadvantages, but if asked to whether which one preferred, online classes is my choice. Time is very hard to buy in today’s age and to be able to have the convenience to bring one’s work everywhere is very important to me.
