Also another big factor for the rejection and all the non-GMO campaigns that have been going on it is because the communities are worried that big companies, for example Monsanto, are taking over and controlling the food supply of this country. Robert Paarlberg stated, “While non-governmental organizations like to depict companies as somehow forcing GMO foods down the throats of consumers, nothing could be farther from the truth” (2014).
