According to Monsignor article, “Allowing a homosexual couple to adopt, on the other hand, presents the children with an unnatural model of adult relationships that does not foster normal, healthy psychological growth and instead will most likely harm the children.” I understand that children both need a mom and a dad to look up too. The idea of having two women or two man raising kid can be difficult for people to accept it because for the most part its always a women and man raising a child. People might think its not right to have two mothers or two fathers. I think it wont cause psychological growth if raised by two women or two men. Children need a family and love and if its with two women or two men, then it shouldn’t be a problem because they will treat them like their own children. The state of Minnesota permits single LGBT individual to adopt a child but not a couple. According to the website lifelong adoptions, “Children that grow up in same-sex households will be more sympathetic to differences and more likely to believe in equality for all.” I believe this is true because the kid will be open minded about not being judgmental right away because they grew up in a different environment than everyone else. “Good parenting is not influenced by sexual orientation. Rather, it is influenced most profoundly by a parent’s ability to create a loving and nurturing home – an ability that does not depend on whether a parent is gay or straight.” This is also true because one of the many reasons kids get sent to foster homes is because there biological parents mistreated them.
