Creation vs Evolution
The debate on creation versus evolution is one that will never end and never be won as long as we exist. The best we can do is discuss, not to win the argument, but to win over people. Our goal as Christians is to be stewards of Christ, being His vessels to spread His Word to change souls, not to win arguments and lose the people He loves. However, there are many pieces of evidence that solidify the reliability and authority of the Bible.

Science directly lines up with the creation story of the Bible. There are many talented and famous scientists who believe in the truth of creation. For example, Raymond Vahan Damadian was a creationist and he developed the first MRI machine. This has been one of the greatest developments in medical science that we still use today. When trying to understand creation, the first thing that we need to realize, is that it is supernatural. While it can be backed up with science, it cannot be fully explained by it. We know that God created everything from nothing, not because we were there to observe it, but because we are told this in the very beginning of the Bible. No time was involved in the process of creation and the development of the earth, it just happened at the command of God. He spoke the earth, the whole universe, in fact, into existence. Unlike other religion’s gods, the God of the Bible, did not need any material that already existed to create anything and everything. God is the maker of moral standards and our rational minds, but He is more than that; He is the Creator. The word ‘God’ has lost some meaning in the …show more content…
As Christians, we believe in the authority of the Bible because it is the inspired word of God. God has also revealed himself to us through His creation. The complexity of the earth and everything on and around it is evidence of a divine creator. God was able to create everything out of nothing without even having a blueprint. He is the inventor of creativity. Not only did He create a world that functions perfectly, He made it beautiful. Just looking at creation is proof and reason enough to know that someone designed it and created it. There are even verses in the Bible that talk about this. A good example would be in Romans 1:20 which says, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse.” This is saying that we should know that God is real and divine and powerful because of the beautiful display of His creation. The splendor of the world’s design cries for a Designer. Another good verse would be Psalm 19:1 that states, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” Creation itself displays the obvious fact that there is a Creator, who is
