Do you have a pet? A dog, or a bunny, or a cat, or maybe even a mouse. Can you imagine your animal being locked in a cage and getting ready for someone to test a cosmetic product on them? Cosmetic testing takes the lives of millions of innocent animals each year. Animals that get cosmetic testing sit in cold laboratory's waiting with fear for another cold blooded experiment. Animal testing should be illegal in order for animals to stop suffering. Animals should not be used for cosmetic testing because they are indefensive therefore, cosmetic companies should find other alternatives, humans also have different body function then animals, and experiments can lead to animal extinction.
First of all, there are many alternative that cosmetic companies can use. One of them is the Bovine Corneal Opacity and Permeability. This alternative uses cornea tissues in place of live rabbits. Also, Human cells and tissue culture have helped advance the studies in human disease. Epidermis is a human cell culture that has replaced animals in skin irritation test. Scientist have been working on many other alternatives that have the same effect on humans, because studies have shown that animals and humans don’t really have the same effect. Many people may agree on animal testing, but they don't see how cruel the animals are being treated. Animals are supposed to be in the wild and not in cages. Imagine yourself sitting in a lab with a shaved head, itchy eyes, drugged and beaten up and not able to defend yourself. Animals are going through this right at this moment and this will continue if we don't stop cosmetic animal
