Persuasive Essay On Celebrating Day Of The Dead

Celebrating Day of the Dead Day of the dead is a big celebration in all mexico. This famous holiday is celebrating on November two. This day is to pray and to remember the people who passed away. November first is dedicated to babies and little kids who had die, and November two is to remember the adults and old people who had die too. Most mexican families dedicate this day to make an altar conmemorating to the person they loved. The altar, in someway, is a manner to communicate with the soul of the dead person. Every year my family focus on the same steps to celebrate Day of the Dead. The first thing we do is gather all the materials that we will need to make an altar. Some of this materials are candles, sugar skulls, salt, cempasuchil flowers, shredded papers, tape, and tablecloths. Also we need foods and drinks that were special to the deceased; some personal objects -like shoes, clothes, hats, or pictures- from that person too. In this step we need to find out a perfect place to put the altar. Commonly, an altar should be near to the door or can be built on the backyard. Then all the family meets together to pray for the people who have died. In my family, each person take a turn to say something about the deceased. Sometimes we play the favorite music of our deceased and say some anecdotes that happened when the person was alive simultaneously. This day is very special for us because in someway is a manner to feel that our deceased is with us even though is not. In conclusion, this celebration is very important for most Mexican people. Even though some Mexican people are here in the US, they continue celebrating this tradition.
