We all have heard of sexual assault happening around the world. One concerning case would be in campus. Campus sexual assault happens as well and some may be handled good others not so much. But with even all of that is there more preventions for this to not happen again or do people look the other way causing it to happen more often? Campuses do have all this programs to help out victims who suffered this type of violence but it seems to not spread the word to prevent this happening again. Campus sexual assault happens and has to be taken seriously in order for it to stop, cases need to be reviewed much better, more people need to help out and make awareness happen to stop increasing assaults on campuses.

In the article of the Bystander-focused prevention of sexual violence states that “Green Dot has an intensive training curriculum called SEEDS for college students that is also now being implemented and evaluated in high schools”( U.S department of justice). Students later don’t have information on how to help someone out and/or what to do in situation like that. Even with all the programs there is that has created awareness it doesn’t show that much difference. However, social marketing campaigns alone have not yet been linked to changes in behavior and are likely to be particularly useful when linked with other prevention tools. That is why this cases should not be handled by schools it need to be by others who don’t know the offender or the victim to solve a case like this much better. In the article Preface to “ Are college Sexual assault cases being handled properly?” says, “While some think these laws offer protection to accusers and the accused and ensure that both parties have equal footing in sexual assault cases, others believe they are slanted in favor of accusers and leave the accused at an unjust disadvantage. As such, some activists argue that the system should be revamped to make it easier for accused individuals to defend themselves and avoid the undue and potentially harsh consequences of false accusations.”(Preface to "Are College Sexual Assault Cases Being Handled Properly?). If not handled good, either an offender who harms people will be let out to harm others or a innocent person might have consequences for a false accusation.
