Abortion is one of the most controversial topics in the country today. Many people are blinded by the fact that abortion is murder, and they do not see the effects that abortion may cause. So, what is abortion? Abortion is the cessation of a developing infant in a mother’s body. Fertilization normally takes place only one day after intercourse; this means that as soon as the egg travels into the mother, life is formed. Just within four weeks, the baby has already developed a heartbeat, and a circulatory system is in place. The baby then begins to develop lungs and parts of the brain. Anyways, I have always wondered why a mother would want to murder her own child. Abortion should be seen for what it really is, murder. Murder is the illegitimate killing of a human being. Also, most people think that abortion is the easy way out, so they have unprotected intercourse whenever they want, and if they notice a pregnancy, they just go to the hospital; this shows the mothers lack of responsibility for their behavior.
Some reasons to cause a mother to want to have an abortion is that the mother could be too young, or she may feel that she does not want to be responsible for a baby. If the mother was still in school, it could ruin her chances of having a good education. Also, if the mother did not have a job, or a well supportive family, then she might not have the finances needed to support a baby. In these cases, there is always adoption.
