Some of the groups opposing animal testing are the Animal Liberation Front (ALF), Earth Liberation Front (ELF) and People for Ethical Treatments of Animals (PETA). These organizations have caused over 100 million dollars in property damage and data loss. Half of the information on treatments for cancer is provided through results from animal testing. Surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy were the only ways to combat cancer until recently.
