The self-directed learning is defined as a learning style where a student moves around the learning material without assistance to achieve desired goals. An example is online students having no face-to-face contact with their tutor. The essential areas of self-directed learning involved the activities of self-motivation, self-planning, self-monitoring self-reflection and self- evaluation of their learning. The student takes own initiatives to identify the condition of their learning outcomes. The student identifies and forms the desired learning goals, and utilizes material resources regularly for learning. A self-directed learner creates their own timetable, knowledge and competes with themselves over the studied materials. A self-directed learner should be ready to learn, analyze the present situation facing them and creates a way of solving the challenges involved. They are responsible for their learning outcomes. They required self-discipline, effective communication, feedback and reflective diaries to be active and also the …show more content…
I will follow the plan I created effectively. I will place my self-directed learning results where I will see it every day. I will always mark my progress list after each achievement. I will try to improve the areas I failed through examining the reason I failed. I will monitor the time frame utilized to achieve each work. I will put marks on the area I need to pay much attention or the area where I progressed well. The way I should hold myself accountable is to set my mindset direct to things I would like to accomplish, i.e. my studies. I will be reasonable in mind enough to ask myself after things I planned to achieve and how I will reach there. I will engage on my daily timetable to actualize my dreams of daily studies.
