What is a radiologist? A radiologist is medical doctors (MDs) or doctors of osteopathic medicine (DOs) who specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques, such as x-rays. What do radiologist do? They treat diseases, such as cancer or heart disease, by means of radiation or minimally invasive, image-guided surgery. Radiologists are often able to see problems early by interpreting the results of your imaging study and can provide an accurate diagnosis to your referring physician.
Why did I choose radiology for a career? One of the many reasons I want to be a radiologist is because it is my passion. I have had this passion for a very long time. The collages I have selected are East Tennessee State University, Milligan collage, and Mars Hill collage. I have been to visit these particular collages. I have chosen these collages mostly because they are not far away from home, because I will be driving to and from school because I want to stay home. These collages have a lot to offer me. ETSU offers that by successfully completing ETSU’s general education requirements and other graduation requirements, students enhance their proficiency in oral communication, writing, information technology, critical thinking, and mathematics. Milligan offers that taking these collage classes, you may be able to complete your studies in fewer semesters.
