When it comes to understanding yourself and your personality on a deeper level than normally, you must take personal stories into perspective that have shaped your life while growing up. According to McAdams, “defining oneself through a personal story is an act of psychological and social responsibility” (Engler 2009). Psychological and social responsibility relate to how you act onto actions around you and how you tie society into your viewpoint of the world. In other words, explaining yourself through a story can show several things such as how your emotions played an affect, the type of response you displayed to something that happened, and as well as the lessons you learned through a personal but also social aspect. In addition, McAdams…

Viewing the past four essays shows the progress and decline of my writing style, and structure. The four essays that were required by the class varied from the best to the worst, both having their similarities and differences. Choosing two out of the four essays, I came to a conclusion that the “process analysis” essay was the best, and the worst essay was the “descriptive” essay. Although it varied from their definitions and structure, the essay’s showed how much the writer, put their work into it. The certain characteristics that made it the worst to the best defined how well the essay would turn out to be.…

I organised the calendars of the Bureau advisors and scheduled their appointments. I logged any letters we received in the database and alert the advisors who the information was most relevant to. It was also my responsibility to send the post off. I created reports on cases; then updated them whenever the bureau received new information. This experience identifying relevant information and recording it accurately will serve me well as a commercial solicitor overcoming both commercial and legal obstacles on a daily basis.…

Writing has been my talent since grade school; I couldn’t sing, or dance but I could write, or so I thought. Then, I entered high school and realized that writing required a lot more than it did in middle school. The brisk pace and advanced comprehension skills required for my English three AP course caused my grades to suffer. I have struggled with college level essay writing tremendously, but through hard-work I have been able to write with more ease and finesse than ever before.…

Monday at nine a.m. sharp in the morning, I took one step into room A232 and had no clue what College 101 would accomplish. There was barely anything I knew related to what the class was about and the material it would involve. It was a required course every full-time student needed and was worth two credits. People said no stressful heavy, rigorous information was in there to memorize. As I grabbed a seat, my instructor gave me a better understanding on the purpose of the course.…

My writing process is currently just typing whatever comes to mind at the moment and then going back to read over it. I’ve only written a personal narrative essay, I haven’t made a decent writing process yet. I also let a few of my friends read my paper and help me make corrections on Google Docs. On an estimate, I probably spent around 1-2 hours daily, typing and revising my paper in my dorm. Like I stated before, I currently just write whatever comes to mind and then revise it later.…

This is the essence of what our practicum focuses on. As teachers, we need to be able to reflect on the day and make decisions on what worked well and what must never be done again. I have learned numerous things in the short amount of time I have been here both in PE and my science classes. For example, in my Biology 12 class I have begun to try this activity called spectrum. This is where you write an agree or disagree statement on the board, and students must walk to either the agree, disagree, or not sure areas in the classrooms.…
