My time at CiCi's Pizza was hard work; it significantly improved my work ethic and it taught me a lot. It significantly improved my interpersonal skills and communication, as well as gave me a lot of experience with working with other members of a team. English 2010 has been a learning experience for me, I've been able to learn a lot about english that I did not know or work on before. With the first essay that we worked on I did a memoir I really enjoyed working on this paper, In class we were able to get freedom to add pictures to are pictures make it a little bit more creative I certainly was not used to this; I’ve been told my whole schooling experience that you have the intro and the conclusion and three body paragraphs. Whenever, I needed help, other employees wouldn’t mind helping me out. There were a large number of people working there who were immigrants but no one was racist towards anyone. Everyone worked together and treated each other like a family so that helped me to be comfortable working with them. The workplace was always very clean, which also created a nice environment around me to focus on my work. That’s really a good thing because a nice working environment keeps me safe, healthy, and gives me more energy to do my work.…

Being unemployed can be a difficult time in your life and figuring out what to do can be overwhelming. As of September 2013, I became a displaced worker I am currently unemployed to this day. I was terminated from my job due to the reorganization of a company. My previous employer restructured their business by cutting back and downsizing departments. My personal experience and take away from English 111 was what I expected it would be before I started the course. No, there was no “life changing” moment for me from this course and I honestly I can’t say I am a better or worse citizen for taking this class, but I can say my writing skills have improved, and that I feel more confident in my writing than prior to taking this course. Writing has and continues to be a challenge for me, I have no illusion that I will ever be a “perfect” or even a “good” writer for that matter, but because some of things I learned in how to prepare and to write an essay I feel I’m a much improved writer.
