I. The range of my interests
Throughout my whole education, I have developed numerous academic interests of which several are still relevant; some of them have also inspired me to take the path I am considering today. In not distant past, I was supposed to study medicine to become a physician; however, I finally decided to change the subjects and specialise in the field of Humanities. But my curiosity for the Natural Sciences has not faded away which is the reason why I have continued studying Biology on Higher Level. I like to think about journalism as a functional literature for masses – and accessing large audiences is surely tempting in the profession of a journalist. Also, I had an opportunity to work as an intern in a Polish magazine which I undeniably enjoyed. Due to this fact, I may also take the basic ‘Media and Communication’ followed by the ‘Journalism’ course. They can help me to continue my encounter with journalism. All the mentioned courses – however often very distinct from one another – may create a fascinating net of opportunities to form an exceptionally solid ground for either continuation of academic studies or beginning professional career. For this moment, I am not certain what I would like my post-graduate future to look like; the only thing I know is that I want it to be connected with writing. It is a real difficulty as I usually cannot properly plan my work which results in doing things at the very last minute. The biggest challenge is, therefore, to arrange and follow a work schedule. The next personal disadvantages are, in a way, the other sides of my strong points. The mentioned curiosity and interdisciplinarity cause the lack of ability to concentrate on a sole subject which makes it distinctly hard to study in a way most educational institutions are designed. Consequently, it also contributes to not being able to stick to a given plan and in changing ideas for future.
