Political ad

In our English class, we recently made political ads to learn about rhetorical and logical fallacies. We could choose a partner or do It by ourselves. If you chose a partner, then you would have to have more logical fallacies to show in the video. We started off by writing what we would include, the seven logical fallacies state our name at least ethos, pathos, logos and turn in a storyboard wIth it. When we were thinking about filming, we needed to have props, camera, template, background and people. The overall unit was fun, because it was different. I have have never this before. It was a little challenging because I had a little trouble with the editing.

There were a few challenging parts in this project. One tough part of this project was the editing, because I did not listen to the teacher when he was explaining it, so I did not know how to do it. I did not know how to do it, and I was new to the website. When doing this project, you will have to find people to record,

Make sure you get your props in time, so you do not have to shoot the video again. So make sure you shoot your video so you can get stuff in time. If you do not know something, make sure you ask questions so you do not sit there and wait. Just make sure you have enough time to do it all. There will be a teacher in the class telling you how to use our video. Make sure you pay attention so you know how to edit, because it can get really confusing. If there was anything I could change, it would be giving the students a little more time.

My overall opinion of this project is that it is fun because it is different. But it is a little challenging because I have not done it before. I liked how we got to choose a partner, but there was more work. Definitely make sure that you get everything done in time. Overall, this project was fun and I wouldn't mind doing it again.

After looking at both parties positions, I can say I am not surprised by the stances they have taken on the issue represented. For the democrat stances, many of their ideas favoured equality and calling for progress and change on many prominent issues. Such as how Democrats called for "policies and investments in order to keep America's public lands public". On the opposite side of this issue, the Republicans stated that that "our air and waterways are much healthier than they were a few decades ago". This stance from the Republicans shows how their more conservative and traditional views correlate to these stances on the topics.…

First, what worked well was how our group integrated our individual skills together to complete the project. When we introduced ourselves and what our concentrations were, it was easy to determine what roles and responsibilities we would take on. The problems that arose primarily concerned communication and scheduling group meetings.…

Andrea Joyce Government 23 October 2017 Political Polarization vs Party De-alignment Two trends that occur in our government today are party de-alignment and political polarization. In American politics, political polarization is more common today, as it has been proved to be happening more recently due to many factors. Party dealignment is defined as erosion of party loyalties in an electorate, referring to the decrease in the percentage of American adults that identify either as Democrats or Republicans, and the corresponding increase in the percentage that identify as independents.…

In the game of politics, social issues are used to emotionally influence an individual to secure votes. Within the complex debate, facts and logic are overshadowed by the emotional response from the individual. The worst social issue to exchange opinions on is abortion. hroughout this American election I feel everyone can admit that it look and feel more like a reality TV show than an election, however with the the looming election next week, thing are getting more serious. After putting a lot of thought into it, I feel that Canadians should be very concerned with American politics and the looming elections for many reasons. On of those reasons are that the United States of America is Canada’s biggest trading partner, any change in the USA will greatly affect Canada and our GDP. Also the USA is the largest economy in the world, any change in its economy will have a rippling effect all over the world. Another reason for Canadians to be concerned is that Trump isn't terribly concerned with Canada and when asked…

The United States of America did not start out with political parties, as most are shocked to learn. President George Washington holds a very distinct honor, the only American non-partisan president. The truth be known, political parties did not develop until 1790’s as conflict grew over the vision of America’s future development. Two major parties arose, the Federalist (those with beliefs of international trade, manufacturing and large government).…
