My Personal Communication Philosophy
Communication is a powerful element that humans possess and can be complex to some and simple to others. The term refers to information exchange, expression of self, organization method, or a social change agent that yields results when done effectively. The field of communication is massive and ever growing dictating the development of a communication philosophy that will guide the interactions with others. My philosophy will be rooted in the theological foundations of truth, responsibility, and service.
The impact I will have on others significantly depends on how I communicate with them. As a communicator, it is critical to have an understanding of the responsibility one has in determining the effect that a message has on the receiver. I have to comprehend that words have power and influence, and it is my duty to make sure that what I communicate to others build them. Listening would be a crucial part of my communication; the message can only be helpful if one cares and pays attention to the needs of the other person. Also, respecting and appreciating the identity of others would be critical to realizing successful communication. I need to learn how to pass information in a manner that respects everyone’s humanity.
Furthermore, my personality is reflected in my communication philosophy. My supportive nature would be significant in creating an excellent environment for active ministry. Nurturing interpersonal relationships would result in a situation where sharing is possible. Being reassuring, helpful, caring, understanding, and empathetic will significantly improve my approaches.
