Finally I awoke. My head was killing me and I felt dizzy. I could hear some clanking in the distance, but I saw nothing. It was too dark to see anything, but there was a small light about twenty feet from me. I slowly pulled myself off the ground and leaned against the bars. I took a deep breath, “Mr. Jacks?” I whispered quietly.
“Kate! Kate, is that you?” I heard someone getting up from the ground and some metal clanking against the cell doors. “You’re ok! I thought they may have moved you somewhere else!”
“No, I’m fine, just feel dizzy.” I felt something tight around my arms. After(T) close examination I could see they were handcuffs. “Where are we?” Disorientation made everything more confusing. I struggled just trying to stand up.
