As agreed upon, Jake pulls up his car along the street at exactly 7:30. I hop inside the vehicle, knowingly taking the front seat without his acknowledgement. He looks at me with an entrancing expression, then leans towards me to plant a kiss on my cheek.
In reaction, I push him back to his seat. “Get your ass in there and drive to wherever the …show more content…
“Alright, alright,” He raises his hands. “I’m going to find out sooner or later anyways.”
From there on, the remnant of the lengthy drive was stiffly cumbersome. It took me a couple of times to awkwardly adjust my seating position to refrain from shuddering from his remarks. The discussions were fervently about having relationships, safe sex and shit, literally. Jacob normally knows how to start a decent conversation, but tonight, he seemed strikingly tense.
To my surprise, He pulls up at an Olive Garden approximately west of town. This boy has a very long infamous record of taking out his dates in a Whataburger or Taco Bell. This motherfucker can be decent after all.
“Aw. Is this where our first date is?” I ask exquisitely. “How incredible. This is too fancy for me to be really honest. Why not go to Spring Creek – “
“We’re seeing someone,” He snaps, gesturing me to go inside. “Go on.”
“Oh… is it like a double date?”
“Its only one person, Maddie.”
“Is it a girl?”

“I make sure I wash my hands before and after I touch someone or something, Baker.” He gazes at me playfully. “However, It’s not a drug deal – no drugs involved. I promise.”
“Spill it.”
“Basically, that 30 paged document that I just gave you is just too complicated for your flimsy mind so I’m just going to sum it all up.”
“Good Lord, Just say it already. Time is fucking gold Wagner.”
“I want you to act as my girlfriend –“
“Bullshit,” I silently cursed. “Waiter! Hey amigo! Gimme some of that bud light, pronto por favor.”
“ – I also want you to move with me, two weeks after you get off from college,” He recommences. “Hey, Don’t you fucking get drunk in front of me, Madison.”
The waiter places the bottle of beer on the table and scurried towards the back room subsequently after Nicholas gave him a bad look. “Oh don’t you worry, sweetheart. I won’t.” I convey, enthusiastically winking at him.
His eyes grew wide and I notice his cheeks turning bright red. He queasily shifts from his seat to hide his contortion, but yet he failed miserably.
“Oh my goodness, Nick is blushing. How adorable!”
“I don’t blush. And please, don’t call me
