I looked down at my trembling hands as I climbed into the seat on my right. I pulled the padded bar over my head. I took a deep breath. "I'm so nervous!" The roller coaster started moving. Crack, crack, crack, slowly went the roller coaster. My hands started to tremble again. I focused on the crack, crack, crack to get my trembling hands off my mind. A slow turn left. Sometimes in life, one has to take chances. I was not sure of that until I strapped myself down in the scariest rollercoaster at Six Flags Fiesta amusement park. My heart was running a marathon as the ride climbed to the peak. My sweaty palms were glued on the back of a passenger’s headrest. My life was depending on it.…

Sit back, buckle up, and get ready to scream because I love roller coasters. My family and I go to Cedar Point about every month in the summer, and my dad and I go and ride everything in the park. It is just so fun! The one thing I really like about roller coasters is that there are little rides for the youth kids also. My least favorite thing is when I am not tall enough to enjoy a ride, which doesn’t really occur anymore.…

We went to Kings Dominion yesterday and it was really fun. I’m scared of height, so I never really ride anything, but yesterday my friends force me on the Domination ride, it was one of those big roller coasters. I keep on telling them I can’t ride it and I’m really scared, but everybody just ignores me while they dragged by my arms and the other pushes me from behind to get on. Once we got down, they asked how was it…

Slide 6 is very meaningful to me. It is filled with pictures I have taken throughout my past 3 years. When my freshman year at Paint Branch I decided to take Photography. At first it was just an easy art credit, but then it turned into much more. I started to go on trips to different far places and fell in love with what I saw.…

This past nine weeks has definitely been a roller coaster. I’ve definitely cracked down more on myself and I’ve learned a lot of things in this time period. I think it really comes down to what I did to do well, the criticism I received on subjects that need tweaking, and occurrences that withhold me from getting the one. In my qualifying events (DI, POI), I seriously tried my hardest to practice and I know that I could’ve done even better.…

The road most people in my community go down you shouldn't expect me to writing this. My family doesn't have the most money in the world and we don't have the most opportunities here. My hometown is one of the poorest in the country and many people would expect me to just quit school and get a job to support my family, but that was not the case with me. I pushed myself to achieve something greater than what others around me have done. I didn't want to fall into the stereotype that because I am part Mexican I’m lazy or just another trouble maker because I'm not that!…

There was no time for a break, we were off to the next one. By “one”, I mean roller coaster, but this wasn’t just any other roller coaster, this was the Dragster. The record breaking, rapid and towering Dragster which was located at the amusement park Cedar Point, in Ohio. I watched my friends walk briskly in front of me anticipating the next thrill. We were walking with Baylee in front, Abby following her, Tiffany next, Megan after her, and Alyssa dragging behind with me.…

To be completely honest, this was not my first topic I was going to write about. When I first looked through the list, I chose to compare being rich to being famous. But after consideration, I wanted to do something I could really talk about and that I’ve felt before. I am not rich, nor have I been famous. Not in the sense I was going to speak about.…
