There was war and bloodshed. I am still haunted at night in my cold, smoky hut with their painful cries of agony ringing in my ears. I remember seeing them sprawled out on the grassy hills as their last breaths escaped their body. Their sorrowful plea for help echoing through the valley. I remember being helpless. I could not do anything to help them. My friends are dying. Hundreds of soldiers gave their lives for us. I remember when the Boston Tea party happened. It was the road that led us down the path to signing the declaration of Independence. These brave men gave their lives so that we could live in a place where we did have to live our lives worrying if we would have enough food to last us through the next day. Hundreds of soldiers had given their lives so that we could be free. I am re- enlisting because the army needs me, we need to fight for our country.

Why should Britain have the right to take our hard earned money for themselves? “ tyranny like Hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this console with us”(Paine 17). It may be hard, but if we keep going we will succeed. I am re- enlisting because I am tired of being treated like dirt. I am tired of Britain taking advantage of our hard earned money and food.
