Skating My Way When will we get there? I think over and over again while closing my eyes, listening to the noises. Hearing engines flying across the roaring road. For when we get there I’ll be able to hear the loud music and the wheels move across the floor as people skate. Me I can’t skate at all unless you can count hanging onto the walls skating. As we finally get there I see someone that I would’ve never expected to see. A girl my age with a bob-cut and hot pink highlights. “Hey Lily I didn’t know that you were coming here”, talking to Lily, the person I been meaning to ask to come with, but too afraid to, made coming here much more relaxing. Especially since it is for a Matthew party for my church to go skating at the rink. A Matthew party is where christians invite their non-christian friends to a party. “Do you skate?” implying to the skates in her hand. “No but I came anyway”, Lily replied. “Me too. I don’t know how to skate and this is my third time here, but it’s always …show more content…
From time to time I could let go of the walls and the other times I would fall or hang on. After having some pizza, it was free because we came on Family night I went back on the rink. I was so familiar on the rink with hanging onto the walls that I didn’t even notice I wasn’t holding onto the walls of the rink! It was crazy like when you first learn how to ride a bike, because I was teaching myself my own technique. Even though it took a little time to get used to the feel of skating I still fell. While I was staking I got pushed in the shoulder and fell on the rink when Mrs. Ashley, one of our chaperones pulled me back out, she asked how did I fall so gracefully. In my mind I was thinking that same question because I truly do not have any ideas

Sit back, buckle up, and get ready to scream because I love roller coasters. My family and I go to Cedar Point about every month in the summer, and my dad and I go and ride everything in the park. It is just so fun! The one thing I really like about roller coasters is that there are little rides for the youth kids also. My least favorite thing is when I am not tall enough to enjoy a ride, which doesn’t really occur anymore.…

Welcome to the world of figure skating. This day began like any other day, waking up four in the morning to drive 30 miles down to Hackensack, New Jersey. I lived in that blue Honda Odyssey minivan that smelled like whatever meal I had eaten last. I slept, ate, and changed in the car.…

When I was in seventh grade I had my first feature. The number was called magic and I skated with two other girls. I had so much fun working on the number with them. When I was very little, walking up the trail with a pack on my back and the dog at my side, I would reach out and pull leaves from the bushes and trees. I would tear off corners, smooth the edges, and they would be turned into spaceships, flying across a lush alien world. Sometimes the trail, worn down into the ground over time by paws and hooves, would climb its way up onto the crests of ridges and meander across the moist, mossy fringes of muskegs. The rough, black and gnarled spruce branches that grew there were pirate spacecraft, pursued by the sleek birch branches from beyond the muskeg's soggy borders. As imaginary lasers and rockets exploded against the ships' hulls, I would rip off little pieces of bark and let them fall to the forest floor.…

Though I lost interest in the skateboard as a middle school student over the past two years it has become an obsession again. Skateboarding captivates me because of the tricks. Moving my feet in certain ways will make the board move, when ollieing slide the front foot off the front tail, to kickflip (ollie with a rotation around not a circle motion). landing a trick smoothly it feels good and it’s the primary reason why skateboarding takes up my time.…

It all started in seventh grade. I had just finished after school choir practice and was riding my bike home when, as I was crossing the street a car came around the bend really fast and didn’t look around and it hit me and ran over my legs. I was so scared at first I thought they were broken because I could not feel them. The lady who had hit me called the ambulance and my parents, and then I was taken to the hospital. While at the hospital I had to get x-rays done to make sure that my legs were not broken, which they weren't.…
