Personal Narrative Report

On 07/06/17, at 6:39pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to 5320 Sundale Place South, on possible nuisance dog, owner known dog confined. I arrived at the location and spoke to Kevin Radi. Mr. Radi stated the a Mastiff( brown) that lives at 5323 Sundale Place South, charged out of that location, crossed the street and tried to bite him, the mastiff turned it’s attended towards Mr. Radi German Shepard that was in his fence in backyard. Mr. Radi recorded the two dogs barking and growling at each other. Dog owner (Nicole Colen) came over and retrieved her dog. I asked Mr. Radi if he wanted to pursue nuisance charges against Ms. Colen due to the Mastiff trying to bite him. Mr. Radi asked if he could have some time to think about it. Colen admitted that her Mastiff name Kiko got out of the house. Ms. Colen stated she came outside to confront Mr. Raid in regards to him recording her children playing basketball in the middle of the street. That is when Kiko got out. Ms. Colen stated her dog did not go after Mr. Radi but towards his German Shepherd. I asked Ms. Colen if her Kiko was currently on dog license and vaccinations. Ms. Colen admitted that Kiko was not current on dog license. I explained that Mr. Radi has the option of pursuing nuisance charges against her in regards to the incident. I asked to see her identification, she complied. I returned to 5320 Sundale Place South and talked to Mr. Radi, he stated that at this time he does not wish to pursue any charges against Ms. Colen. I advised him if he changed his mind to contacted Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC). I issued Ms. Colen a violation for failure to license Kiko.
