“Now these rooms can however you want them to be. There is no limit.” My sister Violette walked me through the bare witgril rooms. The rooms were originally reserved for the king and queen, but have since been replaced with bigger and more glamorous rooms for my sister when she became queen. I have changed a great deal over the six months that I have been at the palace. I have filled out in my bosom and my hips, but I was kept small in the waist by a tightly laced corset. I have groan accustomed to the outrageous and heavy costumes of the court, and have made it my signature to wear shades of mint and lime. “Evermist, I promise you will find something to put in them, believe me. You just need some inspiration.” When she said this it looked as though a magic orb glowed brightly above her, she had an idea. With a sharp snap of her fingers a pretty little table appeared. Cookies decorated like butterflies, cakes shaped into buildings, puddings with wild colors were thoughtfully placed around an arrangement of fragrant gintails and peonies, all trimmed with crystal silverware and teacups painted like flowers. “Tea?” “Well do we have time? High noon is in an hour.” She insisted we did, so I agreed. She offered me several puddings before I settled for one a shade lighter than sunflower yellow. I placed the spoon inside my mouth, and I was overcome by the flavors of vanilla, ginger, banana and orange. The flavor took me to a climate much warm that the empty rooms. I was heated by the sun, tickled by the sand under my bare feet, the sound of gentle lapping of waves calmed my verves.
