Whenever I watch inspirational videos, whether they are to inspire people to respect the troops more, workout harder, or even study harder, they always make me want to work harder for whatever it is about. My ideal weekend would be a weekend where I spend time with my friends. First, I would like to go eat food. Then, I would go play some frisbee, basketball, or volleyball. After, I would want to go get drinks to cool off. Finally, I would like to end up at someone’s house where we can play video games together and talk. This would be an ideal day because I enjoy conversing with my friends, laughing at past events, and creating plans to hang out in the future. Then rinse and repeat for the next day. My favorite compliment was from midshipmen Karls from the United States Naval Academy. I attended the Naval Academy Summer Seminar and I really enjoyed it; however, it was a lot more physically demanding than I thought it would be. On the first day, I got a cramp in my calf. I was in excruciating pain, and the thought of using it as excuse came through my head. But, I always wiped it off and kept running with my squad. At one of the evening formations, another squad leader, third platoon, fourth squad, wanted to recognize me in front of my whole company, about 200 people, but they ran out of time and he personally recognized me for how hard I pushed myself.
