Well that happend to me. I was getting ready to go to MSU for a goalie camp, and I was freaking out more than I should have. I started at my house, packing my suitcase and Goalie bag while eating some chicago pizza, All this happened this year, I was 14. When I was done packing and eating my pizza my mom, dad and I all left for MSU to get lost in the campus.
The first practice was the WORST. I got there with my gear and it was so long since I had tied my pads that I didn't tie the tight enough so they came loose and I tripped like five or six times. Everyone was talking showers after practice, and the water was so cold!, The night before the last practice I felt like I was doing horrible, and I said that to, and there was a kid named Braden, He asked: How many goals have you let in for the scrimmage, My response was: 1 less goal every game, Then your getting better When I woke up for the last price and scrimmage my heels were killing me. I was in SO much pain, I didn't bring extra shoes so my feet hurt on like the second day. So that night When the scrimmage was going down I was starting in net, and I didn't get many shots, I really only got one, And I stopped it! After the scrimmage was done I got picked up by mom and went home and took a WARM shower.
The reason this is a very important event in my life is because, I learned that hard work will pay off, So will a lot of heel pain. On the way home I couldn't stop talking about being at camp, It was the most fun thing I did all summer. My mom was waiting at the dorms to pick me up, and I was still at the arena waiting for the car. Eventually she came and picked me up after I called her and told her where I was. I really want to go back to MSU for the summer camp, It made me work harder than I ever thought I
