Oftentimes, it is first nature for a person to go about their daily life, paying more attention to the things they regard as failures and weaknesses. As humans who learn as we mature, we are not born with the innate ability to recognize all of the strengths that we actually possess and simply choose to overlook. Many of us, including myself, must first learn about our strengths from other sources, such as the StrengthsFinder assessment created by Donald O. Clifton, in order to realize and learn about the good qualities that we possess, and can utilize in school or our professional careers.
Upon taking the StrengthsFinder assessment for myself, my top five strengths ended up comprising of: consistency, harmony, restorative, responsibility, and input. My basic knowledge for each of these traits turned out to be much more limited than I had initially thought because reading about each trait revealed a much more in depth perception on the kind of person these assets describe.…
