Personal Narrative: My Passion For Social Justice

The reason for my passion for social justice has been because of my experience of racism and the experience of others that are close to me. What really boosted my resolve in stopping White supremacy has been learning about it. The deeper I learned about White supremacy, the more troubling it was getting. I decided that I needed to do something and it was by fighting it. I also acknowledge that I am one of the lucky ones. There was nothing special that I did that separates me from a Black person that has not come as far as I did. I realize at any point, I can get pulled over and a police officer can claim I resisted arrest or claim that I reached for their gun and my life could be over.
