My participation as an attorney on the mock trial team not only fueled my interest in the legal system but also formed me into a leader. During my junior year, our team’s coach announced me as a team captain on our JV team, and I embraced this challenge of helping to form a strong team by assisting attorneys who did not have experience, and staying late to work with my coach on team strategy. In addition, I promoted a positive atmosphere by encouraging my teammates and baking cookies for the team. By the conclusion of the season, our team had bonded together as a family and we greatly improved our abilities.
