Being the co-founder of a club is a challenge that can be overcomed with strong resilience skills and the desire to pursue a clear goal. When my partner and I were thinking about starting something new, we focused on things that we either cared about or enjoyed doing. Since we were both undocumented, I brought up the idea of creating a club that would unite students together regardless of their citizenship status. As a result, we created the Latinos United Club. In my mind I pictured a club that will balance educational and cultural support.…

Speaking rom personal experience, I think that most of us miss out on opportunities or even try is because either we do not have knowledge about all that is available to us or we cannot afford what we need to get there. I have been offered many chances to travel for my education, but missed out because my family could not pay to send me. I feel like if I do not have money, then I will not go far in life. National Leadership Forum On Medicine, People to People Ambassadors, and Down Under Sports all have reached out to me attend their programs, but cost too much for me to attend.…

As I begin to walk towards the church I began to notice such monumental door look down at me, once I extended my hand to greet the door I walked in. On this Sunday morning I knew that those around me would become by brothers and sisters, and that we would harmonize as a family. The culture of Hispanic Catholics has formed the backbone for Hispanic culture, and has impacted my personal life by refining my mentality.…
