My first memory of basketball was when I would bring out the basketball to the center of the court at the Riverside varsity girls basketball games.You can just guess how a five year old felt--terrified but excited at the same time. Especially when that five year old is in a wheelchair. Basketball and my wheelchair have always been a part of my culture. My dad has been involved in basketball for as long as I can remember. Our family has lived and breathed basketball starting with my older sister, my younger brothers and I.
