The ceiling of the building is high, with checkered floors. Chairs always stay in the curved lines around that main stand where our band director sits. Each chair has a partner stand or two chairs may share a stand. A banner reading “MARCHING WARRIORS” hangs in front of small bookshelf unit adding to the pride of being a warrior. Instrument cases and people’s personal belongings stay on the shelf, patiently waiting their owners to return.
Mr. Moore’s (our band director) office lies in the far end of the building. It sits back into the wall like a cave where a huge bear lingers in waiting for his prey. His office has a cozy feeling with its large desk and cramped space. This is because of the treasures piled around in the office: old pictures, his own instruments, Valentines and Christmas gifts, and even a snack or two.
