Personal Narrative: Jimi Hendrix's 'Music Is My Religion'

Jimi Hendrix, the legendary guitarist once said “Music is my religion”. It is a statement that can best describe the strong sense of belonging I have had towards music ever since I picked up my first instrument while in school. After completing my engineering, I spent a couple of years trying to be a full time musician. It was here that I realized that Income generation for an independent musician can be very elusive; I had to make a decision to apply for a corporate job. The reasons for this decision would also be the seed that would later germinate to provide the necessary impetus for our music related startup JamGenie.com.
