I grew up in Planaltina, a peripheral community of Brasília (capital of Brazil). I got a scholarship to study the high school in a private college that was 25 miles from my home. Despite the distance, considering that the colleges in my neighborhood were very dangerous, I accepted the scholarship. I have worked since I was 13 years old to help my family. When I could not get a formal job, I made costume jewelry and sold in the street. In my senior year of the high school, my routine was quite hard.
