I Flunk My Written Essay Examination
As an immigrant adapting to a new land, I have learned how to write a good English composition since I was thirty years old when I came to America. Because English was my second language, my deepest fear was taking a writing test, and this fear had crippled me for many years. College life seemed meaningless, and I hated myself for not knowing how to write. I remember distinctively I failed to write my essay when I took the writing exit examination at San Jose State University. After I tried for two hours, I could not apply correctly the grammar rules, and the words did not come easy for me. As I failed the writing examination, I had to relearn the required writing courses.
