Personal Narrative-How Tennis Changed My Life

“So are you going to do tennis again this season?” my grandma asked me with a light smile on her face as the leaves danced around in the cool autumn air. “Yes!” I exclaimed like I just won the lottery. “Tennis was a blast, and it was my favorite part about freshman year!” I spoke, excitement pouring out of my mouth. “That’s great honey. I’m glad you’re getting involved in your school because high school were some of the best years of my life,” my grandma spoke with wisdom while reminiscing her high school years. I remember her telling me a few years back how much fun she had when she was young. She told me about all the mischief her and her closest friends had gotten into. That was until she met my grandpa and fell in love. “Why don’t you tell me about one of your games, Halie?” …show more content…
“Out!” my opponent screeched as the fuzzy, neon yellow tennis ball landed on the dark blue ground right behind the evil white end lind. I was down and afraid of losing my first freshman tennis match. Why did I do this? I thought to myself as the salty sweat dripped into my mouth. My body was filled with adrenaline as I pushed my body to the limit in order to win this match. The sun was fire that was right next to me blazing to its full potential.
Who knows how much time has passed, and at this point I was exhausted and not moving as fast as I started off which was a huge disadvantage to me. Even though all I wanted to do at that point was lie down on the blue pavement and take a power nap I knew I couldn’t.
At this point my opponent and I have been going back and forth between duece, and I knew this was when I needed to give it all I had left. However, I knew that if I won this next point I would win the match, but if I happened to lose then we would have to go into a tiebreaker. I am not going to let that
