Personal Narrative: How My Neighborhood That Changed My Life

I grew up in a neighborhood that most of the city didn’t know about. Then, I moved three times and lived in six different houses. Next, I went to a college that most people didn’t know about. Then, something happened that changed my life. Keep reading to see my falls, speed bumps, and victories.

I was born on February 28th, 2004 in Cedar Rapids, IA. My little brother was born two years after me, so I was the middle child. I had two older siblings, a mom, and a dad. I first walked when I was 11 months old. My first word was “mom”.

When I was in 3rd grade when we moved to Ankeny, IA. It’s really close to Des Moines. We rented a house behind this mansion and they had two kids there so, I became friends with them. They also went to the same school as me. At school, I became lost in what seemed like dozens of hallways, but I made some friends and soon I was finding my way around the school. Following a year our family had to move to an apartment. Then my dad found a job in Dubuque, IA so we moved in with our grandma who lived there. Next, I made new friends and we

Then in 10th grade I took the school newspaper. Next, in 11th grade I took art and math. Finally In 12th grade I took debate and language. My favorite was the debate team because it lets me express myself. After that I was off to college.

I went to full sail university in Florida. I wanted to be a game designer. It’s a university where you can learn to make games so in college I made one. It did very well, so I went to work for Nintendo to make more games.

I had one kid who was adopted and they became an engineer. My brother became an archeologist. I live in Japan now. It’s nice here.

I retired when I was 62 and so far life has been nice. I have a large house. I became an indie developer when I retired so I could still make money. I made games under the codename 3CH0. I have had an eventful life. Thank you for reading my
