After I finished grammar school I moved up to middle school. Middle school looked scary but actually was awesome and I really enjoyed it. I went through a lot of emotions and met a lot of new people. Middle school does have a lot of twists and turns but is really fun. I had a lot of fears going into middle school. One fear was that the teachers were going to be very strict and mean. Now that I am almost done with middle school I think all the teachers are great and extremely nice. Another fear was that the older kids were going to be mean. It turns out that the older kids were really nice and helped you if you needed help. One other fear was that I wouldn’t get good grades and I would fail. My last fear was growing up. I did not want to grow up. I wanted to stay a child forever. To be honest, I did not want to attend middle school but since beginning middle school my opinion had changed. …show more content…
In sixth grade we made King Tut masks and a mummy wrap. I also went to my first school dance. We also played a lot of fun games. On the last day of school we played the game Risk for six hours straight. In seventh grade we went to see the movie Race. I also did a lot of community service by helping out at the Halloween party for my school. Currently in the eighth grade we have buddy day every couple of months with our first grade buddies. At the end of the year we are going on a trip to Philadelphia. On the class trip we are going on a scavenger hunt and we are visiting iconic landmarks. Also at the end of the year we have eighth grade prom. Those are the activities I did and am going to do in middle

The hysterical thing about it is that there is no room for forgiveness when it comes to fear or even self-awareness. Fear has shaped me, and turned me into the man I am now; though it is not my decision to clarify what kind of man I am; that is for other people like my peers to decide. But yes, multiple times I have had fears. For example, this past year of our marching band season; at semi-state, everyone in our band feared that we were not going to make it to state. Even though, almost everyone within the program had confidence that we had an awesome show that day.…

Out of all the fears in the world, the fear of growing up, living in the real world and experiencing mass amounts of failure has definitely taken the cake in my book. So many things come with growing up and becoming an adult, that it's just overwhelming to think about. For most younger kids this thought is more of a dream do to the fact that they don't know a life with responsibilities and adversity that constantly attempts at taking you down but your suppose to not let that happen, but will I be able to get back up when I am shot down, will I be able to make a family and find a job that is well and stable to support a family and most of all will the world that's already out there accept what I have to offer? These things are what scare me about, going to college, figuring out what I plan to do with my life, thinking about how am I gonna pay this bill, that bill, my car payments, mortgage, all problems that come with growing up, that I know I am not ready for now and don't know if I will be.…

There are only a few memorable times in my life when I have felt truly accomplished. One of those times was my junior year in high school when I earned an academic letter for receiving all A's during a semester. I was born in Mexico and I was brought over to Colorado when I was 4 years old. I originally had a hard time in school, because I didn't know any English.
