Through him, I realized that there are things in life which I need to eliminate in order to reach my fullest potential. For example, I cut down my friend circle because there were specific people that were not helping me become a better individual, or were not accepting me for who I was. I realized that by taking them out, I would be able to achieve my own goals without any distractions. Just like in Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, these people were like the chains holding the prisoners back. They were holding me back from becoming what I truly wanted to be. Previously, I thought they were amazing people but later on I found out that they were not what they appeared to be. Those ‘friends’ were just a false reality, like the shadows in the cave. On the other hand, I had voices in my head that kept telling me that these friends were good for me, but truly they were not. I thought they were there to support me, but I could not picture them in my future, therefore I became distant from them. This was mostly due to Gary Vaynerchuk. His ability to convey his knowledge to me triggered my successful search for individuality. His intelligence has made me realize that there is more to life. Gary is equivalent to the light in the cave because they both portray pure wisdom. Without them we would not be able to see the bigger and brighter things in life. In conclusion, he has helped me emerge from my cave and introduced me to the outside
