I had lived in Gadsden, Alabama, which is a small town in northern Alabama. There wasn’t a whole lot to do in Gadsden, other than your usual small town activities such as, mudding, driving around town, and just hanging out with friends at someone's land. Now one thing that was really cool about Gadsden is that Talladega wasn’t too far south from it. Because of where the town is located, it got hotter than firefighter in a burning building in the summers. And much like the weather in Jefferson City, it was quite humid down there in Gadsden. But one good thing was that we had a lake on our land that we could go swim in when it gets real hot outside. Being in the cool lake water in the blazing heat of an Alabama summer felt like heaven on Earth to me. It rained pretty often, but it was never a real heavy rain, which was nice because you could go play outside in the rain and not get soaked within 5 minutes of being out
