We were blessed when we found out that the tumour was not cancerous. Though we did have to worry about it growing and spreading. Luckily, it was small enough now to have a basic surgery and have it removed, although there were some risks. The surgery did not guarantee that her pituitary gland would not be harmed, it could becomes damaged, forcing my mom to have to take tons medications to keep all of her hormones balanced. But it was a risk she was willing to take.
Weeks passed and my mother was already prepping for surgery. We wanted to be with her every step of the way, but only my father could do that.
